Hello again my loves! We are here for another great blog post! As EVERYONE knows, matte lips are sooooooooo on trend! A hot matte lip with a simple wing linear always gets my motor running! There are so many beautiful matte pigments, liquid lips and lipsticks out there, but how do you really apply a true matte lipstick? Here a few tips on how to properly apply matte lipsticks, liquid lips or pigments:
Tip #1: MOISTURIZE YOUR LIPS! It is not rocket science! Matte pigments can be very drying, so it is important to bring moisture to them otherwise your they will become brittle and begin to show the lines of your lips; not to mention it will fill very incomfortable
Tip #2: try and find matte lipsticks that still give you a little moisture. General matte formulas are meant to be drying hince the "matte" affect. However, some brands have done a great job of still maintaining some moisture in their matte products (i.e. NYX suede liquid lipsticks and Milani matte lipsticks)
Tip #3: line you lips. A really nice lip liner will help with the glide of the matte pigment. A great liner will also keep the pigment in the lines of your lips with minimum mistake
Tip #4: concealer is your friend. In case of a mistake, grab your favorite concealer with a small detailer brush and begin to outline your lips "erasing" the mistakes or crooked lines. Doing this technique can give you a cleaner and sharper look!
